Welcome to New York!
Last night, the first-round of the 2025 NFL draft took place, and the New York Giants made a splash.

With the 3rd-overall pick, the Giants selected dynamite pass rusher from Penn State; Abdul Carter. Carter finished this past season with a total of 68 tackles, 12 sacks, 4 pass deflections, and 2 forced fumbles. He was then named as the Unanimous All-American, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and was selected as a First-Team All-Big Ten.
The 21 year old declared for the draft following the teams' Orange Bowl loss and has been raising his draft stock since.
Carter now joins one of the most "iconic" franchises in NFL history and has hopes of turning this Giants defense into what they once were back in the 1980s, with the help of current veterans; Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns.
Though Carter grew up as a fan of the teams rival; the Eagles, he is ready to do whatever he can to make the Giants contenders once again
Following the exciting 3rd-overall pick, the Giants' office stayed busy and made sure to draft another prospect they have been eyeing for some time; Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart.
Late in the 1st-round, it was announced that the Giants traded away the 34th pick, the 99th pick, and a 2026 3rd-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for the 25th overall pick, which the Giants used to grab Dart.
Dart spent the last 3 seasons as Ole Miss' starting QB, where he led the team to back-to-back winning seasons along with passing Giants and Ole Miss legend Eli Manning as the all-time leader in passing yards.
In just his senior year alone, Dart threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and only 6 interceptions. He was also quick on his feet, rushing for 495 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Dart has joined the Giants as the teams future QB, as this franchise has been struggling at the QB position for the last decade. Near the end of Manning's career, the team drafted QB Daniel Jones with their 1st-round selection back in 2019, which ultimately was seen as a mistake and looked as one of the worst draft picks in franchise history.
Now, Dart has the chance to learn from current starting QB veteran Russell Wilson, and when the time comes, Dart will be ready for the bright lights of New York.
The Giants have waited for this moment, where fans, insiders, and analysts all agree that the Giants did the "right" thing at the draft.
I'm excited for the future of this team!
Welcome to New York, Carter and Dart!
